Marco Celebrates 25 Years of Aquaparc!

This year, Aquaparc turned 25 — and Marco the Marmot was there to celebrate in splash-tastic style!

Invited by his old friend Sharky the Shark, Marco spent the day surrounded by laughter, slides, and smiles at one of the top family-friendly waterparks in Switzerland — a true gem in the heart of Valais tourism.

As soon as he arrived, Marco was greeted with excitement and high-fives. Together with Sharky, they zoomed down waterslides and danced with guests of all ages.

But the fun didn’t stop there! Friends from Swiss Vapeur Parc and Fort de Chillon, two other highlights of Swiss family tourism, joined the fun. Steamy the elephant and Spike the hedgehog brought even more energy to the party. Marco made new friends, waved flags, posed for pictures, and filled every corner of Aquaparc with smiles and cheer.

Whether performing at events or featured in stories, Marco the Marmot is fast becoming Switzerland’s favorite marmot — and the most huggable children’s travel mascot in Switzerland!

Through books, events, and fun-filled appearances across the country, Marco inspires the next generation to discover the magic of Switzerland’s cities, landmarks, and hidden treasures.

One thing is certain: when Marco and his friends appear, it’s a celebration of joy, discovery, and Swiss family fun.
